 Unity through repetition, color, and proximity.

   This design shows unity through the repetition of the balloons and the sun-like balloon.The monochromatic colors also largely support the unity theme. The final example is the proximity of the of the shapes all right next to each other.

Positive and Negative GD USA October 2016 Pg. 58 This artwork shows positive and negative space with the leaves being positive and the space around them the negative space. In this advertisement the leaves (positive space) stand a great deal more than if the area around then was not blank negative space. Otherwise they would be lost in the background because of the similar tones in the foreground. It also creates a sense of balance with the blank space around the tree.
